The 7 Rules of Life and ERP

1.) Let it go

Never ruin a good day by thinking about tomorrow. Now we’re not saying that you lose sight of the direction or path you’re on.  It just means that you live in the here and now.  Enjoy your accomplishments.  You’ve made it this far.  In fact, you’ve done a lot of things right, and while we all know there’s room for improvement build on the knowledge you’ve accumulated.

2.) Ignore them

Don’t listen to other people. Live a life that’s empowering for you. Now that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take advantage of others’ experiences.  There’s a lot of knowledge to be gathered.  It just means we need to be able to separate important and relevant information from noise.  In that case, take advantage of time-tested results that will empower your future.

3.) Give it time

Time heals everything.  Unfortunately, most of us have probably made some decisions that didn’t work out the way we anticipated.  Mistakes are not failures but the process of eliminating things that don’t work.  Although this can bring about some negative feelings, and sometimes consequences, we learn, grow and obtain experience.  All successful organizations never stay stagnant but evolve.

“If you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You are doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you are doing something.”
Neil Gaiman

4.) Don’t compare

The only person you should beat is the person you were yesterday.  You and your organization are unique.  Don’t settle for that one size fits all mindset.  In fact, don’t settle at all.  Find solutions and tools that can be tailored specifically for you.  You’re unique and deserve to be recognized for it.

5.) Stay calm

It’s OK not to have everything figured out.  Know that in time you’ll get there. None of us have all the answers, but aligning with a business partner that is dedicated and committed to your success optimizes the realization of achievement.  Having vast experience with other organizations brings new scope to advancement.  Stay calm and rest assured that through experience results are feasible.

6.) It’s on you

Only you are in charge of your happiness. You’re in control of your organization’s destination.  Continuing on the same path simply because it’s familiar limits you from what is beyond.  Might be time to think outside the box and create some positive happiness within your organization.  Happy employees do a better job and are 13% more productive.  So, empower them with tools to create that happiness.

7.) Smile

Life is short.  Enjoy it while you have it. This is probably the most important rule of all!
